TARAS KACHKA
Taras Kachka is the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, appointed to this position in July 2025. From 2019 to 2025, he served as Ukraine’s Trade Representative and Deputy Minister of Economy, where he was responsible for trade negotiations, implementation of the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement, and coordination of integration into the EU single market. Prior to that, he worked with the International Renaissance Foundation and other institutions, focusing on governance reforms and European integration. Kachka studied law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and completed further training at the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw.

He has been actively involved in shaping Ukraine’s participation in the EU single market and in negotiating sectoral integration, particularly in trade, energy, and digital policy.
Beyond institutional alignment, Kachka represents Ukraine in strategic discussions with European partners on economic resilience and reconstruction. He has emphasized the importance of deepening sectoral integration even during wartime, underscoring that adopting EU standards and policies strengthens Ukraine’s democratic governance and security. His work has been instrumental in keeping Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic course on track, linking domestic reforms with broader geopolitical objectives.
