DMYTRO MYKHAILYCHENKO
Dmytro Mykhailychenko is an accomplished historian and political scientist affiliated with the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University. He began his academic career at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, focusing on the political mechanisms of the Sovietization of Ukraine in 1919 and the resistance movement.
He is a faculty member at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University and the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations at Kharkiv Collegium. His research interests include unconventional instruments of foreign policy influence, especially in Soviet and Russian foreign policy doctrines, public opinion, and foreign policy thinking. He has authored three books and a series of publications on Soviet history.
Mykhailychenko's current research investigates Russia's foreign policy and its interactions with the EU, major regional powers, and the Global South. His work includes studying public opinion's impact on foreign policy formation and analyzing discourse structures and ideologies influenced by Russian foreign policy.
